Weekly Sunday Walks in Somerset

If you are looking for a way to get fitter, meet new people and see more of Somerset’s wonderful varied countryside, The Somerset Walking Club could be the one for you. Walks are arranged over Exmoor and the Quantock Hills, the Blackdowns, Brendon Hills, Mendips and the Somerset Levels.

In addition to weekly Sunday walks, there are also social events and twice-yearly weekends away (spring and autumn), staying in comfortable guest houses/ hotels with guided walks each day.

The walks programme is now available on the Programme Page. Howeverwe are still asking that anyone wishing to join a walk book in advance by phoning or emailing the leader, this allows for the leader to contact those booked in case of weather conditions or road closures. Please note that if you have booked a place and are then unable to go, you should inform the leader so that they do not delay the walk by waiting for you.

We remind walkers to be considerate of other members of the public out on paths, especially where space is narrow. There will be no car sharing arrangements from Castle Street car park for the time being.
