Joy and Tony’s walk on 27th April 2025
“Our walk from Rawridge went well. There were 9 of us and Julie’s very well behaved dog! This walk was one of the winter walks cancelled due to Storm Bert and we were certainly rewarded with a beautiful day this time! After an initial climb there was a shady wood, pond and statue where we stopped for a drink. Our main break was along the top of the ridge with beautiful views of the valley before returning downhill.” Words and photos by Joy.

Dartmouth Club Weekend April 2025
Photos by Cherry Bird
A good time was had by all at the Dartmouth club weekend. 20 of us stayed at the Dartmouth Hotel golfing resort, enjoying extensive views over the golf course and a peaceful environment. The weather was perfect, with bright sunshine and clear views. Walks included a mix of coast path and estuary routes. On Saturday the long walkers did a 10 mile linear walk from Torcross, along Slapton sands to Dartmouth, taking the bus back (fortified by local ice creams). On the second day we followed the Dart Valley trail, which included woodland and two ferry rides, ending with drinks by the river. The shorter walks covered highlights of these routes.
