Message from Syd It’s almost time to wish the club a Happy and successful New Year. Cheers, Syd.
A super walk from Roadwater over the hill to Luxborough returning via Withycombe Hill and the common, back for tea and mince pies. Much needed after climbing a total of over 2,100 feet (this includes all the ups) and 11 miles. 12 of us enjoyed the walk despite the fog blocking the views. Two walks were held before the AGM; A 9 miles walk led by Cherry and John and a gentle ramble led by Woody. We enjoyed “Goldilocks Weather” – not too hot and not too cold. Followed by tea and cakes in the Roadwater Village Hall finishing with the 2021 AGM.
A good turnout for a sunny 8 mile walk along the southern foothills of the Quantock Hills, including a steep climb in the woods of Paradise Combe (complete with a hand rail as it is that steep), ascending up the “Combe with no Name” to the summit, with a walk along the ride returning toContinue reading “Sunday 19th September 2021”
